California Burritos IV.

It's been almost a week since we took a flight back from Los Angeles and left sunny California. Last report concerning our USA trip and then you'll only have to wait for our video to come out. Also, we would like to thank Drift company for their support concerning also other trips. Big thumb up!

So how did the last part of our trip go? After wild Yosemite Park, we turned South to Mohawk desert. Our "fat cat" (as we renamed the caravan we were travelling by) was getting us closer, safely mile by mile. But GPS was getting kinda less and less useful in the middle of deserts and it was getting dark = time to look for a shelter. Luckily we managed, took a sleep and soon in the morning left the place to visit our dear friend Mike Allen in Murrieta.

Unfortunately, we couldn't spend with him as much time as we wanted, but we still managed to have a nice "walk" through the history of skateboarding up to its roots. He showed us how to cut a longboard shape from a molding but had to leave to meet with his family right after, since it was a special day of Thanksgiving. For Americans, this part of year is even more important than Christmas and all the families get together to have a feast or a large meal. Well, and we went to Sector9 and Arbor factory instead and then to our friend's Juro Brožina in San Diego.

Jeff Budro, both manager and boardkid of Sector9 showed us around before we started heading South again. Evening BBQ, morning longboarding and cruising along Ocean Beach, an old part of San Diego. And then surfing!! We had a little surf session with our friend Jura from Havířov, whose job is to fix surfs, and had another BBQ watching sunset.

We got an idea of visiting Glendora Mountain Road due to its great recommendations. Another 120 miles on the road and here we go. One day after Thanksgiving and the roads were empty. We got a tip to be under the hill at 6:30AM. We took a short sleep, went to the spot, went up and what we saw is hard to describe - we were breathless. That 8 mile hill was a real longboarding paradise. Almost 50 riders met here to give it a shot. Including 13 year olds.

After this downhill sherry on top and great get-together at Katka and Tom's in Los Angeles, our trip was getting to an end and we had to leave to the airport. There we randomly met awesome Czech rider Šárka Pančochová, who just arrived for some kind of shooting in the mountains. Nice!

It's difficult to write down the eding of our trip so I decided to describe it by one sentence I read on cheap shirt from Chinatown: "Enjoy California, It's the real thing".

Look forward to our California trip video and have a nice winter!
