Custom Trip 2/2
Waking up after an exhausting day (probably also caused by an intense tasting of local treats) was the most difficult part of our trip. But after seeing an entirely blue sky with no clouds around, we got the positive spin. After saying bye to our friend called Bird and his partly animal family (thank you for everything!) we set off to Hranice na Moravě, Přerov. Although the trail continued to Tovačov, we decided to stop at Přerov because of an unsuitable surface.
Although we expected our feet to hurt so bad that we won't even make several kilometers, we have to admit we surprised ourselves. While approaching Hranice, we were going more and more up and felt like in the middle of nowhere. It took us a while to make it up the hill, but it was worth the downhill that followed. The nature around looked awesome and we were stoked.
Time to put the helmets on, turn the camera on and board down the hill! Awesome ride we should definitely do again sometime. Yes! We continued to Teplice, a spa town with mineral water know for its healing effects. Before we got there, we tried a “dirt boarding”, which ended up in a major crush. Never flown in the air for 6 metersbefore with such a high chance of getting tapped on a camera stick. But the shot was worth it. (Or maybe not?)
After having a local frgál (Czech kind of cake), we continued downhill through a spa area back to Hranice, where we took another snack break, this time with nice Red Bull chicks and got some 'bull spirit'. Full of newfound energy, we continued to Přerov. We knew that a part of the way is an offroad so we took a nice walk instead of boarding. The area of Moravská Brána we approached was truly beautiful as well as the little path heading to Helfštýn castle.
Another snack break under the castle and a little surprise when meeting a bunch of friends from Přerov at the end of the trip. Was nice to have a company for the next 30km, although they were just biking. Last stop was a brewerycity where we couldn't resist the local beer Zubr. A perfect end of our trip.
The main conclusion of the trip is: Don't stay home, take your board and go on a trip like this one. It's a great thing, just don't be a lazy butt and give it a try. Maybe you'll find out you like it as much as we do and won't be able to stop. Maybe you'll get a new Custom point of view.
And if you do, don't hesitate to write us about it or join us next time. Cause this is just the begining.
