Custom Trip II.
Track length: 94km
It's been couple weeks since we've been to another longboard trip no.2. And since we didn't have much time and don't have a PR office yet, it took us a while to catch up, but here we are.
After our first experience with long-distance longboarding and managing the first part of the trip from Bumbálka to Přerov, we just decided to continue where we left off. Adam Colton and his pals has been through a major part of the world on their boards so we already knew that it's possible. Just need to really want. We only have to admit that our trips are, compaired to their a little bit less 'sporty'.
When deciding whether to go up north to Prague or to the southern Vienna, we picked the Greenways track which directly leads to Austria's capital and we took the path from Přerov to Brno. Describing every single detail of our journey would be rather boring, so I'll take it brief and you can check the video which is worth million words.:
Our steps (or should I say pushes?) led from Přerov to Prostějov, where we enjoyed the long paths between the fields, a whole different point of view than from a car. The most demanding part of the way was over the Drahanska highlands. If you come from Moravia, here's the link to one of the best best hills in the area. Unfortunately, for us, this meant 7km walk up the hills.
The descent which followed was slight and smooth. We slept over after 50 km in Jedovnice camp, which turned out to be very demanding, considering the night beer path. Despite that, we were approaching Brno really fast the following day and the beautiful weather contributed to the great atmosphere. We were getting closer and closer, boarding on the frequented highways, but all of a sudden, my board started making weird sounds. I have to admit I'm pretty lazy to grease my trucks after every wet ride and I soon noticed I'm slowing down. As soon as I reached the sign announcing the name of our final destination, my wheel rolled aways and all I could do was watching. The truck and bearings were boiling hot and I make sure to avoid this the next time! But anaway, we managed to get where we wanted so mission completed.
Enjoy the pics and if you want to try a destance boarding experience, next part of our journy starts on August 12 (till August 14), so feel free to join!
